Cold tea

The day is cloudy and the tea is cold, but is not that Susy likes it that way. The empty chair in front of her gives us a clue about her melancholy.

Susy is a character I invented years ago, inspired by my daughter's pet. I once thought about creating a series of illustrations to print on collectible items, like coasters, greeting cards, or cookie tins (filled with cookies, of course). Maybe one day I will resume this project, for now I share with you this image that I painted from an old sketch I found in my sketchbook.
