My most cherished one

I love fairy tales, since they have had a great influence on my life and have given me a lot of joy during my childhood.

I think that the cinema has contributed to people forgetting the original form of these stories, as they have subtly claimed them as their own invention, and have sold them as the definitive version.

I, in fact, enjoy those films, as they have also influenced my work. However, in this series I want to honor the vision of the Grimm brothers, whose stories also have some sinister touches.

This piece ends this collection dedicated to Snow White. I hope you enjoy it.

At first I made some thumbnails (several more than you see here) to find a composition that fits my ideas.

This time I cheated a bit. I used a 3d model that I put together with the help of DAZ and Blender.

Since this is my first time drawing the prince, I did some studies to imagine his appearance. I wanted him to be a very handsome and elegant young man, slightly inspired by the Disney version.

Using the model as a reference, I made this sketch where I decided on the overall appearance of the image.

I printed it out and then, using a light table, transferred the image to a better quality sheet of paper using markers and ink.

Then, I scanned the original to paint it digitally (If you want to buy the original, don't hesitate to write me).

To be on trend, I used artificial intelligence to decide the color scheme. The result sucks and I discarded it right away XD

I did some experiments with the color before I got to the final version that you saw at the beginning.
